Springvale Celebrates International Nurses Day

Friday 12th of May saw International Nurses Day, a day we were only too happy to celebrate as we are extremely thankful for the hard work and dedication our nurses both at Springvale and in the wider community show us every day.

To mark the occasion, we hosted an afternoon tea with sandwiches, cakes, and bubbly and gave out gifts to show just how much we appreciate our Nursing team.

We truly are lucky to have such a special team of nurses working at Springvale and the amount of support and compassion they give is admirable. We spoke to residents of the home who shared their thanks and compliments.

Mary - “I just love you all, you're all so hardworking.”

Marion- “They are so kind, and genuine and I’m grateful."

Irene - "Thank you for always helping me, I know I need a lot of it and it’s no bother.”

Grace - “I was a nurse I know how hard it is, and all these girls make it look easy, always a smile on their face.”

Stewart - "I have just moved in but the staff has been brilliant, I feel lucky- thank you.”
