Valentine’s Day at Springvale Care Home

At Springvale Care Home, we hosted lots of special Valentine's Day celebrations for our residents and their loved ones.

Relationships are very important to us here at Springvale Care Home, and we strive to support relationship-building at all times, whether that's between staff and residents, residents and relatives, or just amongst our residents in general.

We had lots of gatherings this Valentine's Day, from a mother and daughter film viewing in our cinema room to a special lunch put on for our residents and their wives and husbands in our dining room. Suzanne our Chef worked hard to provide a beautiful menu that featured some of the items that will be available on our new menu for the upcoming season.

The dining room was beautfully decorated with bunting and balloons, and the tables professionally set up with candles and confetti.

One of our lovely residents had told us that he had never bought his wife a single flower or bouquet throughout their marriage as he was ‘not the romantic type’. Our staff supported this gentleman to buy his wife a dozen red roses as well as one special single rose; it’s the little things in life that make such a difference and to say this made his wife's day is an understatement.

We love supporting our residents in continuing to spend good quality time with those that they're closest to and we welcome our residents to use the two private dining suites we have here to invite their loved ones for a special meal, supported by our wonderful Chef Suzanne.
