The team here at Springvale Care Home are thrilled to be able to welcome visitors and open our doors to new residents.

We fully understand that the outbreak of COVID-19 has had a difficult and overwhelming impact on the lives of everyone. We recognise just how important it is to keep our residents safe and secure and throughout the COVID-19 pandemic we have followed guidance from the Governments and local agencies to support the wellbeing of our residents, relatives and staff teams.

We will continue to work closely with our staff, residents and their loved ones to support their preferences and should there be any further outbreaks at the home, we will keep you fully updated.

Always Striving to Surpass Expectations

In line with recent Scottish Government guidance effective from September 2022, care homes in Scotland no longer require face masks to be worn during visits due to high vaccination rates and other mitigations against COVID-19 in the social care sector and LFD testing is no longer necessary. Face masks will continue to be provided at the home should it be your preference to continue to wear one and staff will support the preferences of our residents who wish for our staff to wear face masks whilst providing them with care.

We would like to reassure you that we will continue to work closely with our Local Health Protection Teams and will follow their guidance should this decision change. For further information, please click here or contact the Home Manager directly.

Preventative Measures

Since the outbreak of Covid-19, our outstanding staff have gone above and beyond. We have put in place a whole host of additional safety measures at our facilities to ensure our residents continue to live their lives as they always have, with minimal inconvenience. All new safety measures have been designed to have as little impact as possible on our residents and their everyday lives; by making just a few adjustments to our home and the way in which we operate, we can mitigate the risk of COVID-19 in our community.

The teams at Springvale Care Home are placing high priority on the mental, emotional, and physical health needs of all residents; from keeping up-to-date with government regulations to providing guidance to all residents and their loved ones. We also want to ensure that an active social life can continue to be enjoyed by our residents, whilst maintaining high standards of infection control, and our Activities Team are doing all they can to achieve this. By utilising Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), screen dividers and sanitisation rooms, our staff are able to continue providing the outstanding care that our residents deserve.

Video Calls

We actively encourage our residents and their friends and family to arrange long-distant video calls via the internet. We have invested in the latest video conferencing technology so you can continue your regular contact and be assured you will never miss a moment or a memory.

In various areas throughout Springvale Care Home, we have installed sanitisation stations. Both residents and visitors alike are reminded and encouraged to regularly use our antibacterial gel.
