The team here at Springvale Care Home are thrilled to be able to welcome visitors and open our doors to new residents.

We fully understand the impact that Covid-19 has had on our staff, our residents and their loved ones, and we are delighted to be taking steps again to restore normality at Springvale Care Home.

Our top priority remains to be the health, safety and wellbeing of our residents, their families and our staff. It is our ongoing commitment to everyone in the Springvale Care Home community to do everything within our power to keep everyone safe and healthy.

Always Striving to Surpass Expectations

We have gone to great lengths to maintain the highest levels of safety, hygiene and respect for Government guidelines, all the while ensuring a warm and friendly environment. While preventative measures remain to be of utmost importance, it has always remained imperative that any measures implemented have a minimal, if any, effect on the outstanding around-the-clock care that we take pride in.

It is important that meaningful contact is supported and maintained for residents. There are no limits on how often residents can receive visitors but it must remain safe and manageable for the care home staff and residents themselves and we ask that these are pre-booked. Anyone who visits a care home should take a LFD test, you will be asked to show proof of the recent negative LFD test before visiting. This includes family, friends, children over the age of 12 and visiting professionals. You may take the test at home before you visit or the home can help you to carry out the test when you arrive.

A Fluid Resistant Surgical Mask (FRSM) must be worn wherever possible, and Infection Prevention and Control measures should be followed as instructed by care home staff. Residents, family, and friends are able to plan outings or activities from the care home and are able to do by working together with the care home to arrange.

For prospective residents, to have a tour of the home, it is necessary for this to be pre-booked and for evidence of a negative LFT test to be presented prior to entering the home. This applies to all guests within your party.

At any time, the COVID-19 regulations and guidance from the Government, National and Local Healthcare Agencies may change. For further information, please click here or contact the Home Manager directly.

Preventative Measures

Since the outbreak of Covid-19, our outstanding staff have gone above and beyond. We have put in place a whole host of additional safety measures at our facilities to ensure our residents continue to live their lives as they always have, with minimal inconvenience. All new safety measures have been designed to have as little impact as possible on our residents and their everyday lives; by making just a few adjustments to our home and the way in which we operate, we can mitigate the risk of COVID-19 in our community.

The teams at Springvale Care Home are placing high priority on the mental, emotional, and physical health needs of all residents; from keeping up-to-date with government regulations to providing guidance to all residents and their loved ones. We also want to ensure that an active social life can continue to be enjoyed by our residents, whilst maintaining high standards of infection control, and our Activities Team are doing all they can to achieve this. By utilising Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), screen dividers and sanitisation rooms, our staff are able to continue providing the outstanding care that our residents deserve.

Video Calls

We actively encourage our residents and their friends and family to arrange long-distant video calls via the internet. We have invested in the latest video conferencing technology so you can continue your regular contact and be assured you will never miss a moment or a memory.

In various areas throughout Springvale Care Home, we have installed sanitisation stations. Both residents and visitors alike are reminded and encouraged to regularly use our antibacterial gel.
