Springvale Nurse Wins ‘Nurse of The Year’ Award
The team at Springvale are delighted to announce that one of our nurses, Stephanie recently won 'Nurse of The Year' at the group's care awards evening after having become a divisional winner for the award. Danny Crates, former Paralympian presented the awards and this specific award was sponsored by Branding Boutique.
The award was to be presented to an outstanding individual who represents effective nursing practices within their care home. Stephanie was able to give evidence of having:
- Been a dedicated professional nurse
- Led by example
- Inspired other staff in the home in delivering high quality care
- Shown compassion, skill and enthusiasm in their practice
Stephanie was described as being "Simply outstanding. Her clinical oversight has ensured that residents receive the first-class care that they expect and deserve and she supports, motivates and guides the team of nurses and carers to ensure that this happens consistently for every resident. The team, residents and relatives comment daily on how supportive she is and her experience and knowledge are recognised by external professionals which have been instrumental to the increased occupancy at the home. She is a fantastic role model and mentor for all staff and carries this off with a beautiful manner."
