Festive Activities this December
As the festive season approaches, the residents and staff at Springvale Care Home have been busy preparing the home and getting into the Christmas spirit!
As the festive season approaches, the residents and staff at Springvale Care Home have been busy preparing the home and getting into the Christmas spirit!
Springvale Care Home recently kickstarted the Christmas period by decorating the home for all to enjoy. The Christmas tree has gone up and had been beautifully dressed with tinsel, tartan ribbon, baubles, and poinsettia. There have also been garlands, wreaths, and stockings put up, as well as a sack of presents near the tree.
We have also had the first of many outings over the month of December. The ladies of Springvale Care Home enjoyed a lovely festive afternoon at the Christmas Hostess event at Campsie Memorial Hall.
The ladies gathered with other women in the local community and had a great time getting to know each other and exchanging stories. They also enjoyed tea, sandwiches, mince pies, and a raffle.
We have lots more festivities planned for the rest of December, such as Christmas home baking, a visit to see the Christmas lights at George Square, Christmas film showings, and much more!
Following the success of our first Christmas market last year, we have decided to go ahead and hold Springvale Care Home's 'Winter Fest' this year. The event will take place at our care home in Lennoxtown and there will be plenty to see and do, including enjoying hot chocolate and mulled wine, live entertainment, a Christmas light display, and more.
We will be opening our doors on Thursday 15th December between 16:30pm and 19:30pm and we would love for relatives and members of the local community to come and join our residents and staff in all the festive fun.
It's going to be a great event where all money raised will be put back into the resident's fund, which we put towards ensuring that residents are given every opportunity to live a full and enriched life, whether that's through activities, visiting entertainment, or trips out into the community.

At Springvale Care Home, we go above and beyond to bring joy to our residents, through both events in the home and trips into the local community. We love giving residents the opportunity to meet new people and make special memories. We look forward to welcoming you to our home over the festive season.
