With the beautifully picturesque Campsie Fells right on our doorstep and the local town just down the road, there is plenty for residents at Springvale to fill their days with. Our activities team work hard to create a fully varied programme that ensures residents have fun and stimulating experiences both inside our home and in the East Dunbartonshire area.
As well as being surrounded by impressive, breathtaking hills, there is plenty of other nearby locations for those who love the great outdoors. Just a 13-minute drive away from our home is Mugdock Country Park, a great place for taking a stroll, admiring the wildlife, and getting some fresh air. The country park is also home to Craigend Castle, Mugdock Castle and Mugdock Loch, making it a great place for all the family to explore.
There are many other attractions in the local area waiting to be discovered too, including Lennox Castle and Kilmardinny Loch. For a more leisurely day out, residents can visit an array of garden centres and cafés nearby, perfect for a spot of shopping or afternoon tea. Many of the garden centres also host seasonal events and are perfect for year-round excursions. Whether it’s with fellow residents, family or friends, there is an abundance of opportunities for older people in East Dunbartonshire.
