Celebrating 102 Years of Love, Laughter and Family at Springvale

There was a truly heartwarming celebration at our home recently as one of our lovely residents, Mrs Mair, marked her 102nd birthday surrounded by generations of her family. When we asked how she’d like to celebrate such an incredible milestone, her answer was beautifully simple – she just wanted to spend quality time with her loved ones.

Our team immediately got to work to make her wish come true. Head Chef Ross and our wonderful Activities team set about planning a traditional Afternoon Tea, with a homemade birthday cake lovingly prepared by Suzanne, one of our talented chefs. The room was filled with the smell of fresh bakes, the sound of laughter, and the joy of family coming together.

Mrs Mair was joined on her special day by her son, daughter, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even great-great-grandchildren. It was a touching reminder of how important it is to celebrate these moments, and to make time for the people who matter most.

The whole day was centred around connection, and we couldn’t be happier to have played a part in such a memorable occasion. When asked how she felt about the day, Mrs Mair told us, “I have never felt so special.” Her children shared their appreciation too, saying they were incredibly grateful for the effort made to give their mum
