Springvale is a private care home in East Dunbartonshire, nestled in the town of Lennoxtown, situated at the foot of the beautiful Campsie Fells. The Campsie Fells are a magnificent range of hills in central Scotland, stretching east to west from Denny Muir to Dumgoyne in Stirlingshire and overlooking Strathkelvin to the south.

Springvale is also a nursing home fully equipped to deliver nursing care. Our team, including registered nurses, have the skills and qualifications to provide exceptional specialist care for our residents with high-dependency nursing needs, physical limitations, and when necessary, professional and compassionate palliative care and end-of-life care. We take pride in treating each person with the highest dignity and respect.

Dementia Care

We are honoured to also be able to support older people living with dementia. We understand that people living with dementia require elements of specialist care, and our staff has the expertise to provide various levels of dementia care and support. Our team is committed to ongoing training, developing their skills, and increasing their knowledge to ensure they are providing the finest dementia care possible to each and every one of our residents with dementia.

 

Respite Care

We are also able to deliver respite care at our care home in East Dunbartonshire. This service allows residents to rest and heal while also allowing caregivers and family members to unwind and shut off for a while. Our knowledgeable and caring team is trained to recognise and respond to a wide range of health concerns, allowing them to provide tailored care and support 24-hours a day, seven days a week.

Dumbarton is a town on the River Clyde, west of Glasgow where you will find Dumbarton Castle. Dumbarton is sited on volcanic rock. Here, visitors can admire great examples of 18th century Georgian military architecture and stunning views from the Tower Crag. Throughout Dumbarton Castle’s long history, it has been a royal residence and a fortress and has fascinating connections from the Vikings to the Scottish Wars of Independence. To the west of Dumbarton lies the ever-popular Overtoun Estate. Edinburgh

Accessible by car in approximately one hour from Springvale Care Home, this fast-paced city has so much to offer residents and their families. Edinburgh Zoo is home to over 1,000 rare animals from around the world and home to the UK’s only Giant Pandas and Koalas. The Royal Botanic Gardens is a pleasure for all ages, where you can enjoy leisurely strolls and family picnics and the garden offers wonderful views of the capital’s skyline. Located just one mile from the city centre, this beautiful part of Scotland presents visitors with peace and tranquility amongst 72 acres of stunning scenery.

For those who enjoy soaking up history, we recommend visiting The Royal Yacht Britannia, which served the queen for over 40 years. This tourist hotspot is a wonderful time capsule where you can learn about the royal floating palace, indulge in afternoon tea in the tea room, and peruse the gift shop for unique souvenirs.

Those who like both playing and spectating sports also do not have far to go as both Edinburgh Rugby Stadium and Carrick Knowe Golf Course are just a short distance away.
